Current Projects

Family Learning Passport

The Family Learning Passport is a three year project funded by the Big Lottery Fund.  The aim of the project is to engage families in learning together to achieve three main objectives:

• families take part in and enjoy education more
• families increase their skills and knowledge
• parents and carers communicate better with their children and give more support to their education

These objectives will be achieved through a series of empowerment and engagement activities that incorporate practical skills, diet and well being, language, stories, drama, exercise, games, the environment, growing things, creativity and design.  Engaged families will select from a list of the core activities on offer to create their personal ‘learning contract’.  The Passport will be used to record their progress in the fulfilment of the contract and will ultimately lead to the achievement of ‘passport status’ and certification in an award ceremony at a local University.

The project will be delivered in partnership with a number of local organisations.

Solutions for the Planet

The Solutions for the Planet (S4TP) mission is to build open innovation partnerships between young people, businesses and communities. These partnerships will create sustainable BIG IDEAS that will benefit our society, economy and environment.
